The Nisqually Youth Program provides children within the Nisqually Community in grades K-12 with age-specific and individually appropriate enrichment activities that promote opportunities for friendship, skill development, self-esteem, values, self-discipline, and respect for others through positive habits, attitudes, behaviors, and choices. The Program is guidance-oriented, helping youth make appropriate and satisfying choices in all aspects of their lives.
The Nisqually Youth Program provides afterschool services and seasonal camps throughout the year.
The Afterschool Program provides structured, supervised activities for students 7-18 years of age, Monday through Friday until 6:00 PM. Afterschool services include homework help, tutoring, reading club, arts and crafts, STEM, sports and fitness and cultural teachings of Nisqually arts, music, song, and dance. The Youth Program also partners with a variety of tribal departments, such as Language, Library, Medicine River Ranch, and more.
Seasonal Camps are offered during school breaks, such as Winter, Spring, and Summer Break. Camp provides recreational activities to youth between the ages of 7 and 13.
