The Nisqually Weir is one of the Nisqually Natural Resources management tools and is included within the Tribe's Chinook Recovery Plan. Using the weir to sort fish allows the continued operations of the successful Chinook hatchery program and its associated harvest during this time of popluation recovery. The Nisqually Weir is located on JBLM, just upstream of the tank crossing the bridge. It is staffed 24hrs, 7 days a week through October.
