The Nisqually Tribe Operations Division is comprised of the following departments:
Maintenance
The mission of the operations Department is to provide a clean, safe and healthy work environment for tribal employees.
Operations is a division that provides service that is common to all programs. Operations has primarily tribal member employees, along with some spouses of tribal members. We strive to maintain a high level of tribal member employees. Our long-term mission, to have career employees in Operation. Operations is a good beginning for some, and permanent, long-term employment for others.
Every day we learn more, and will continue to grow to develop our skills. We have the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities. The only thing we lacked was opportunity. The growth and development of the Nisqually Tribe has provided the opportunities.
Building Maintenance and Landscaping
Maintenance department includes a supervisor, two lead staff and eight maintenance staff, three of which are housecleaners to ensure sanitation and safety.
For the past year and forthcoming years, sanitizing tribal facilities will be a priority to continue preventing any re-occurrence of a COVID-19 infection and to also keep annual flu bug infections as few as possible.
Clerical Operations Department provides support service to tribal programs such as mail runs, greeting guests when they walk into our buildings or simply relaying messages to departments from others.
Security provide security service for all tribal facilities, on or off reservation. Prevents unwanted, uninvited PERSONS from living on tribal lands by doing foot and vehicle patrols (Interviewing with people that not from our tribal lands)
